Our WindowAlert Modern Dots Decal Envelope is a brand new design!  These are an innovative, attractive and easy to apply solution designed to protect wild birds from accidental window strikes. Each decal features a special UV reflecting coating. The coating creates a brilliant glow visible to birds only. This new design contains 30 round decals!

To the human eye, the decals appear as frosted or etched glass. These decals, mounted on the outside, will help prevent accidental window collisions.

When birds look at our windows, they see the reflection of the sky or woods, so they think it’s a safe place to fly. Not only that, but birds have vision that is up to 12 times better than that of humans.

The WindowAlert Modern Dots Decal Envelope contains thirty 1.25″ in diameter, round decals that have a special coating that reflects ultraviolet sunlight. This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but birds see it as a brilliant glow much like a stoplight. Our WindowAlert Modern Dots Decal Envelope helps show birds that there is a window there – not the sky or trees.

This ultraviolet light is invisible to humans, but glows like a stoplight for birds. Birds have a different eye anatomy than that of humans, see different colors, and are thought to have the ability to see more.

Designed for a one-time application to exterior glass surfaces. Before application, ensure that your surface is thoroughly clean and free of any overalay, tinting, film, coating or other impurities.

Our WindowAlert decals, and our new WindowAlert UV Liquid, help birds see windows and avoid striking the glass.

• How close to apply them to each other on the outside of your window?
  • Scientific studies recommend positioning decals 4 inches horizontally and 2 inches vertically from each other.
• These must be placed on the outside of the window to work effectively (not the inside)

Best Practices for Bird Collision Prevention

Below are detailed instructions for how to apply window decals for birds:

1. Prepare Glass: Our static cling decals are designed to work on the exterior of glass windows. Ensure that the glass is free of any film overlay or coating. Glass should be clean, dry, and free of chemicals prior to application.

2. Apply Decals: Peel decal from paper backing. The same side that was against the paper goes the against the glass.

Place decals on the outside of the window.

More decals will increase protection. Here is a guide to decal and/or UV Liquid spacing:

Hints: During winter, keep decals at room temperature prior to installation. Focus on windows with a history of strikes. Start at the center and space outwards using our envelope ruler as a guide.
